Jennifer Tilly was conceived in Los Angeles on 16 September 1958 in very poor circumstances. Her father was a vehicle salesman, and her mother worked as a teacher. Jennifer is the eldest of her four siblings, was a frequent attendee of theater with her mother. Jennifer was impressed. Jennifer's parents split at the age of five. Jennifer resided in British Columbia for most of her early years when her mother and other four children moved there. Jennifer wasn't a very studious person although she did have an artistic talent when she was a child. As a child, Jennifer was often targeted by bullies in schools across Canada. As she entered high school, her enthusiasm for theatre began to fade. In an effort to counter her loss of interest, her mother encouraged to take part as an extra in a variety of performances. Her children were all encouraged to pursue a passion for the arts. Then she took immediate the initiative.
