Agnetha Faltskog
Even though she's created her name as an individual artist and performer in Sweden, Agnetha Faltskog will forever be best known for being one of the members of 'ABBA' an iconic and popular and commercially profitable pop bands of all time. When she left school at the age of 15 Agnetha started singing with Bernt Engelhardt's band soon gaining fans. Enghardt secured her a contract with a record contract, and soon she was at the high end of the Swedish charts with her first single. Bjorn became her spouse and she joined ABBA. ABBA was among the most popular pop bands across the globe during the period of eight years. The group received platinum and gold awards across the globe. After ABBA the group released three albums - "Wrap Your Arms Around Me', Eyes of a Woman' and I Stand Alone'. Each of them was hugely successful in Sweden. They were also popular throughout Europe. But, they didn't make an impact in America. The music of ABBA was the focus of a jukebox musical entitled 'Mamma Mia!'. The album, 'My Coloring Book was a huge success, reaching eleven on charts for the UK and was released after she had come out of retirement. She has received a positive reception to her new album 'A.'
